Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lauded the power of art and culture during his visit to Slovakia after viewing a special exhibition centred on Varanasi at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava with Slovakia President Peter Pellegrini.
The exhibition featured works connected to Varanasi, including creations by Slovak artists who had recently visited the city, showcasing a cultural link between India and Slovakia.

Upanishads translation into Slovak
PM Modi also highlighted efforts to bring Indian philosophy closer to Slovak audiences, praising Dr. Róbert Gáfrik for leading the translation of the Upanishads into Slovak.
Sharing details of the interaction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “In Bratislava yesterday evening, I met Dr. Róbert Gáfrik, who has spearheaded the effort to translate the Upanishads into Slovak. His passion for Indian history, culture, and spirituality is commendable.”
