Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, the head of Patanjali Yogpeeth, and General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna today hoisted the flag at Patanjali Wellness in Haridwar, on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day. They also extended their best wishes to the countrymen
Ramdev spoke about serving the nation by taking a five-fold pledge: indigenous education, indigenous medicine, indigenous economy, indigenous Sanatan way of life, and a self-reliant, developed India through indigenous means.
Expressing his views on power-driven madness, Ramdev highlighted how tariff terrorism is rampant in some places, and religious fanaticism in other places, while in India there is talk of spreading fanaticism in the name of the cow, the Ganges, and the palanquin, with accusations and counter-accusations being hurled at each other, even among followers of the Sanatan Dharma.
He also mentioned about the United States threatening Canada with a 100% tariff, and India with 25-50%, and other countries with 500% tariffs. He said, ‘In such a situation, if we want to build a united India, a great India, a healthy, prosperous, and organized India, then on this Republic Day, we need to move forward on our path of duty with commitment, giving paramount glory and importance to indigenous education, indigenous medicine, indigenous economy, indigenous Sanatan way of life, and our Sanatani heritage, so that we can develop India into the world’s greatest economic power, the greatest military power, and the greatest political, social and spiritual power, and the whole world can draw inspiration from India. He spoke about realizing the vision of a self-reliant, developed India through indigenous means.
Ramdev appealed to the countrymen to take a vow of using only indigenous products and boycott Macaulay’s education system and multinational companies. He said that by boycotting all evils and all kinds of mutual conflicts, we must prioritise India’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty and strengthen the Indian rupee against the dollar. He said that he wants to see the day when our one rupee is equal to 100 dollars, and that is only possible when all 140 crore Indians strive with unwavering and immense effort.
He added, “We all want to have value, we want our passports to have value, and our citizens to have value, but currently, the situation is such that, except for 10-15 countries in the world, no major country allows us to enter their country without a visa on our passports. We have brought our situation to a very low level. If we don’t make our country strong today, then even our friendly country Russia, along with America and China, will turn their backs on us.”
Yoga guru said that today, hostile forces are rising in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and many other countries of the world. He said, “On this Republic Day, we have to take a pledge of our own dharma, and for that, the whole of India will have to unite like a family to give a befitting reply to our enemy countries, anti-India, and anti-Sanatan forces.”
He said that there should be no conflict among saints and Shankaracharyas, no frenzy in the name of Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra, no frenzy in the name of any caste or community, no provincialism in the name of any province, no linguistic fanaticism, and no communal disputes. We are all children of one lineage of sages, one lineage of ancestors, one lineage of brave men and women, children of one Mother Earth, Mother India. If we move forward with this resolve, then India will be able to compete with the whole world and win on every front.
Highlighting the strength India holds, Ramdev said, “If India becomes strong, then no one in the whole world will dare to commit atrocities against Hindus. Today, Israel is strong, so no one can cast an evil eye on Jews anywhere in the world, because they have strong backing. If we do not make our country strong, then crises will continue to hover over us from somewhere or the other, and wherever Hindus live, they will continue to be persecuted. Therefore, if Hinduism, Hindutva, and Sanatana Dharma are to be protected throughout the world, starting from India, then we must become a nation where the brave inherit the earth.”
On the completion of one year of the UCC (Uniform Civil Code), Ramdev stressed, ‘only when there is one country, one constitution, one flag, one resolve, one India, a great India, will a healthy, prosperous, organized and developed India be created. That is why it must be extended throughout the country, whether at the legal level or at the ideological level.”
He also mentioned about the prominence of cows and their by-products. Ramdev said, “Cow should be declared not just the mother of the nation, but the mother of the world, but how will that happen? Even if a law is made and the cow is declared the mother of the nation, how will the cows and bulls be saved? How will India become a Rishi-based and agriculture-based country? Until we start consuming cow urine extract and cow ghee every morning, until we use cow-based products for cleanliness in our homes, until there is cow-based agriculture, until grazing lands are protected, and until grazing lands are freed from the clutches of criminals, how can the cow be safe?
Urging Indian citizens to purchase cow by-products, Ramdev said, “When every person starts using at least 10 rupees worth of cow-based products every day, then at least 1,000 to 10,000 crore rupees will be contributed daily by Hindus for the protection of the cow, and only then will the cow be saved. Along with this, every Hindu should raise at least one cow. Patanjali is serving one lakh cows; similarly, every religious leader and all our saints and sages should raise at least 1,000 to 10,000 or even 100,000 cows themselves and go out every day to encourage Hindus to raise cows. We have to come out of our monasteries and temples, we have to work hard from three or four in the morning until 10 at night; mere rhetoric will not suffice. Our culture is based on the four pursuits of life (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).”
