Baba Ramdev announces education revolution as he inaugurates Bharatiya Shiksha Board state office in Lucknow

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday announced a new education revolution in the country as he inaugurated the state office of Bharatiya Shiksha Board in Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Secondary Education Gulab Devi, special guest Dr NP Singh, and several saints were also present during the ceremony.

The state office has been opened in the premises of Christian College, Lucknow.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Ramdev said that just as the Yoga revolution had begun earlier, a similar revolution in education is now set to begin from the land of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, with the Bharatiya Shiksha Board at its core.

He said that no child educated under the Bharatiya Shiksha Board would become a terrorist or immoral person. He asserted that the Bharatiya Shiksha Board would make its mark not only across India but across the world. “We will erase the sin of Macaulay,” he said.

During the education dialogue held after the lamp-lighting ceremony, chief guest and Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Minister (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi said that the education being imparted in English-medium schools had become directionless and was encouraging western culture.

She said children studying in such schools had forgotten to greet their parents in the morning and questioned whether such an education system had ever been envisioned.

She said that the initiative undertaken by Swami Ramdev through the Bharatiya Shiksha Board would certainly contribute towards character building among children.

She assured that the Uttar Pradesh government would extend all possible support to the Bharatiya Shiksha Board. She added that the board was a divine initiative of saints and said that where there is a saint like Swami Ramdev, such a board would certainly establish its identity globally.

Giving the example of teachers and doctors, Gulab Devi said that a teacher brings spirituality into a child’s life and children become emotionally connected to them. Therefore, teachers must maintain exemplary conduct and behaviour towards students.

She further added that doctors too play a similar role as people surrender themselves completely to doctors during times of illness.

Giving his blessings on the occasion, Swami Ramdev said that after the Yoga revolution, a major revolution in education was now about to take place under the Bharatiya Shiksha Board.

He said the condition of education across the world had deteriorated badly and parents today were worried about what their children would become after receiving modern education.

He blamed the growing use of mobile phones and social media for pushing children towards digital addiction, causing them to forget values and culture.

As a result, he said that students in schools, colleges, and universities were consuming cigarettes, bidis, and alcohol. “How can one imagine a cultured and prosperous nation in such a situation?” he asked.

During his address, Swami Ramdev also referred to purported incidents from Elon Musk’s childhood, saying that the beating Musk allegedly suffered in childhood still reflected in his anger today. He said the Bharatiya Shiksha Board was working to protect children from such negative influences and would certainly contribute towards nation-building.

Swami Ramdev further said that the “sin” committed by Macaulay could only be corrected through the Bharatiya Shiksha Board.

He said that even after 190 years, people still remembered the damage caused by Macaulay’s education system. Therefore, the journey initiated through the Bharatiya Shiksha Board in the 21st century would help build a new India, and everyone’s contribution would be needed in this mission.

Swami Ramdev announced that one lakh schools would be linked with the Bharatiya Shiksha Board this year, with Uttar Pradesh contributing the highest number.

He said the board represented a unique blend of modern and ancient education and would help create responsible citizens. “If there will be one defining board of the 21st century, it will be the Bharatiya Shiksha Board,” he said.

Special guest and Bharatiya Shiksha Board Chairman NP Singh shared details about the objectives and formation of the board. He said that the Bharatiya Shiksha Board did not belong to any religion, sect, or faith, but to all 150 crore Indians. He said the board had been formed to integrate India’s traditional knowledge systems with modern education.

During the event, Dr Mahendra Singh and Avadh Ojha also delivered their inspiring messages and extended their best wishes.

Among those present on the occasion were Dr Mahendra Singh, Avadh Ojha, Acharya Swadesh, Sadhvi Devpriya, Pushkar Dwivedi, Rakesh, Sant Alok Das and others.
