After successfully completing Deepotsav in Ayodhya, the district administration is now preparing for the Chaurasi Kosi and Panchkosi Parikramas.

During these two Parikramas, over five million devotees circumambulate the mythological and classical boundaries of Ayodhya.

The Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama of Ramnagari begins on the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the Kartik month, while the Panchkosi Parikrama begins on the eleventh day. The 14 Kosi Parikrama is performed on Akshaya Navami, and the Panchkosi Parikrama is performed on Devuthani Ekadashi.

The 14 Kosi Parikrama will commence at 4:51 am on October 29 and conclude at 4:40 pm on October 30. The 5 Kosi Parikrama will begin on October 31 at 4:04 am and conclude at 2:57 am on November 1.

Following the completion of these two Parikramas, devotees take a holy bath in the Saryu River on the full moon day of the Shukla Paksha of the Kartik month, which falls on November 5 and holds special significance.

With development funds from the central and state governments, the Parikrama paths have been expanded to four lanes for both the Chaurasi Kosi and Panchkosi Parikramas, and construction is currently underway.

Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister and Minister in charge of Ayodhya district, Surya Pratap Shahi, along with administrative officials, inspected the construction of the Parikrama paths. Divisional Commissioner Rajesh Kumar and Inspector General Praveen Kumar, along with District Magistrate Nikhil T. Funde and SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover, reviewed the progress of the construction work and issued necessary instructions to the contractor.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also satisfied with the pace of construction on the 14 Kosi and 5 Kosi Parikrama paths.
