Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP- Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan on Monday accused RJD supremo Lalu Yadav of misusing his bail by campaigning in Bihar Assembly Elections.
Speaking to reporters in Patna, he said that Lalu was granted bail on medical grounds but he goes out with family, attends dinners and holds campaigns for the party.
“He’s out (of jail), expressing concerns about his health. But sometimes he goes out with his family, campaigns, goes for nominations, and attends dinners…,” Paswan said, adding “Misusing the concessions given by law is a crime in itself.”
The Union Minister further stated that given his age, he may have been facing some health issues but asserted that “his activties has certainly been a matter of concern.”
Paswan’s party is an ally of the BJP-led NDA and fighting the Assembly elections in Bihar against Lalu Yadav’s RJD-led Mahagathbandhan.
Chirag Paswan’s remarks came after Lalu on Monday joined the Mahagathbandhan’s campaign in Bihar. Lalu sought votes for the RJD candidate in Bihar’s Danapur in Patna district.
Speaking to reporters from his car, the former Bihar Chief Minister expressed confidence that Mahagathbandhan will form the government and his son Tejashwi will become the chief minister.
“Tejashwi Yadav will become the Chief Minister this time. The government will be changed on 14th November…,” Lalu said.
