Jammu and Kashmir: Migrant labourer from Bihar shot dead by terrorists in Anantnag
The victim, whom the police identified as Raju Sah of Bihar, succumbed to injuries during treatment.
Police said that the encounter broke out in the Bidoora village of Achabal area in the morning when a joint team of Army, CRPF and police cordoned off the area following credible reports of the presence of terrorists.
An Army Major was killed and 3 soldiers, including another officer, were injured in an ongoing encounter with terrorists on Monday in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
Police said that the encounter broke out in the Bidoora village of Achabal area in the morning when a joint team of Army, CRPF and police cordoned off the area following credible reports of the presence of terrorists.
Unconfirmed reports said that two bodies of terrorists were seen at the encounter site but these could not be retrieved so far because of the continuing exchange of fire.

The injured soldiers have been shifted to Srinagar’s military hospital.
Police sources said that the martyred Major has been identified as Rahul Verma.
