Congress, allies sabotaged Jammu’s national projects: Dr Jitendra Singh
The minister further alleged that the Congress also denied 4% reservation to the people living along the International Border in this region.
The Indian Army on Tuesday said that it has carried out punitive fire assaults on Pakistani posts near Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera sector.
“As part of our anti-terror strategy, punitive fire assaults are carried out from time to time. Pakistani posts actively help infiltration,” Major General Ashok Narula said.
“With the mercury rising and snow-melting in the Valley, the chances of infiltration increase from the Pakistani side. The Army is all geared up to counter such threats,” he said.

“It was part of the plan to proactively dominate the LoC and counter-terrorism operations to curb infiltration,” he said.
Claiming that Pakistan Army has been providing support to armed infiltrators, Narula said that the recent actions in Naushera have caused damage to Pakistan army posts.
In a strong message sent out globally, the army has clearly indicated that if Pakistan tries to push in infiltrators, India will take firm action.
India’s action comes in the middle of national anger over terror attacks on Army camps, the recent mutilation of two soldiers by Pakistani forces and the brutal killing of a young Kashmiri army officer.
According to reports, the army on Saturday engaged a group of terrorists who were trying to infiltrate and cornered them around the Kisan post in the Naugam sector.
