Another death allegedly linked to the consumption of contaminated drinking water has been reported from Indore, taking the reported toll of deaths to 25.
As per sources, the latest deceased has been identified as Hemant Gaikwad, alias Bala (51).
Bala has been admitted to the Aurobindo Hospital since 8 January with complaints of diarrhoea, vomiting, and dehydration. He died during treatment on Tuesday.
The reported death toll due to consumption of contaminated drinking water from the Narmada River supplied by the Indore Municipal Corporation through taps in households of the Bhagirathpura locality of Indore has now risen to 25.
