Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu meets PM Modi, invites him to key state events

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday and extended him an invitation to attend two key upcoming events in the state. The meetings aim to strengthen collaboration between the Centre and the state, fostering growth and development in Andhra Pradesh.

During their meeting, CM Naidu invited PM Modi to attend the ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ programme in Kurnool, which highlights joint initiatives for fiscal efficiency under next-generation GST reforms.

The Chief Minister also invited the Prime Minister to the ‘CII Partnership Summit 2025’, scheduled for Visakhapatnam on November 14-15. This summit will bring together industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore new avenues of collaboration and investment in Andhra Pradesh.

During his Delhi visit, CM Naidu will also participate in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Department and Google tomorrow. This landmark agreement involves establishing Asia’s first Google Data Centre in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s journey towards digital transformation and technological excellence. The project is expected to contribute an average of Rs 10,518 crore annually to Andhra Pradesh’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) between 2028 and 2032, while supporting nearly 1.88 lakh direct and indirect jobs each year.

“The project will serve as the cornerstone of the ambitious ‘AI City Vizag’ initiative,” IT Minister Nara Lokesh said, adding that “combining cutting-edge AI infrastructure, data capacity, renewable energy integration, and global fiber-optic connectivity”.

The Google Data Centre is expected to generate productivity spillovers valued at Rs 47,720 crore over five years, driven by Google Cloud’s ecosystem. With this development, Andhra Pradesh is poised to become a key node in India’s digital future.
