Amritsar’s student body files police complaint against actor Kapil Sharma

Indian actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is in fresh trouble after an Independent Students Federation (ISF) filed a police complaint against the actor alleging that he violated traffic norms during his visit to Punjab’s Amritsar.

In a video shared by Sharma on Instagram, he can be seen driving a motorbike at night sans helmet, while reminiscing about his life in Amritsar.

According to Times of India report, president of Independent Students Federation Keshav Kohli alleged in his complaint that Kapil was speeding while riding a motorcycle in Amritsar.

In his complaint Kohli has argued that since Sharma was a local resident, a role model for millions of his fans and therefore should have obeyed traffic norms.

According to the report, the police is launching an investigation and will take all necessary legal actions against Kapil Sharma if found violating the traffic laws.

Meanwhile, the Sony Entertainment Television have announced that Kapil Sharma will be making a comeback with a television show after more than six months. While, his ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ was cancelled last year in September after a heated public spat with his show’s co-star Sunil Grover.

Kapil Sharma was last seen on screen, when his movie Firangi was released in December last year.
