Azad Adhikar Sena chief Amitabh Thakur on Wednesday raised the issue of serious security lapses during the recent visit of Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in Lucknow.

Rahul Gandhi had come to Lucknow on Tuesday to appear in the MP/MLA court to seek bail in a defamation case.

Demanding a high-level enquiry, Thakur has sent a letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding fixation of responsibility in connection with the incident that took place during Gandhi’s appearance in the local court.

In his letter, Thakur claimed that Rahul Gandhi is among the top-protected persons in the country, but during his appearance in the MP/MLA Lucknow Court on Tuesday, the security forces showed gross negligence. Due to this, hundreds of people entered the court, and Gandhi’s security was completely endangered. Also, the decorum of the court was violated.

He has sent a copy of the letter to the Chief Justice of India and the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, along with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, for appropriate action.
