Amit Shah to visit Jodhpur on Sunday for foundation stone ceremony of College for Visually Impaired

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will pay a brief visit to Jodhpur on Sunday afternoon to participate in the foundation-laying ceremony of a college building being constructed by the Netraheen Vikas Sansthan for visually impaired students.

Shah will land at Jodhpur airport around 3:50 p.m. and head directly to the function venue in Ramraj Nagar of the Sun City, where he will lay the foundation stone of the college building. He is scheduled to stay at the event until 5:30 p.m. and will then proceed to Surat at 5:50 p.m.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will also attend the function. CM Sharma will fly to Jodhpur from Jaipur on Sunday afternoon. Tight security arrangements have been put in place along the VVIP route from Jodhpur airport to the venue.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to visit Rajasthan within a week to attend important programmes in Banswara on September 25.
