Uttarakhand took a major step towards becoming an industrial hub on Saturday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared the big news on social media, announcing that investments worth more than ₹1 lakh crore have officially started under the Uttarakhand Investment Festival 2025.
The event took place in Rudrapur in the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
This move is being called “Uttarakhand Industrial Revolution 2.0”, aiming to bring large-scale development and new industries into the state.
CM Dhami said that this is not just about money; it’s about building trust in the talent of Uttarakhand’s youth and creating a better future for the state.

CM Dhami highlighted that this event is a follow-up to the promises made during the Global Investors Summit 2023, which received support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
According to him, today’s achievements are a sign that Uttarakhand is now making its mark on India’s industrial map.
“This investment is not just a business deal. It is an investment in the dreams of the youth, the future of the state, and the collective potential of Devbhoomi (Uttarakhand),” Dhami wrote in his post.
The big push is likely to open up thousands of new jobs and opportunities for self-employment across Uttarakhand. This will help many young people find work close to home, reducing the need to migrate to bigger cities.
The ceremony in Rudrapur hosted several important leaders and personalities. Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev was present at the event, along with Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, Member of Parliament Ajay Bhatt, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, and Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri. Ministers, MLAs, and other dignitaries also joined the celebration.
