The Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) police has filed a chargesheet against terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and eight others in the dastard attack on Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in July 2017 that left eight people dead.
“The police have filed a chargesheet against LeT and 8 accused in Amaranth Yatra bus attack that took place in July last year,” officials said.
Eight pilgrims were killed and 13 others injured in the attack on the Amarnath yatris bus on July 10, 2017 in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The bus, carrying pilgrims from Gujarat, had come from Sonamarg and was on its way back after visiting the Amarnath shrine.
Two months later, security forces gunned down top LeT commander Abu Ismail, who carried out the attack along with another Pakistani militant in Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
