Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav said that fake encounters corrupt the administration and giving punishment to anyone other than through the courts is a crime in itself.

Yadav said that since the BJP government came to power, there have been widespread fake encounters. Many innocent people have had their lives and families ruined under this government.

“Injustice and atrocities are at their peak under the BJP government. No one is getting justice. Murders have been committed in the name of fake encounters. The police are out of control at the behest of the government. Now, even the courts are expressing their displeasure. The BJP government protects the real criminals, due to which crime, corruption, fraud, and adulteration are not decreasing. The BJP government is misusing the police administration and the constitution and the law are not being followed. The BJP wants to create fear among the public,” he charged.

Akhilesh Yadav, in a statement here on Saturday, said that there is discrimination in the deployment of officers and policemen under the BJP government.

“Under the protection of the ruling party, some favored police officers act arbitrarily and take the law into their own hands. They conduct fake and false encounters. The encounters in Jhansi involving Pushpendra and in Noida are examples. The BJP government has failed on every front. Law and order have collapsed, inflation, unemployment, and corruption are at their peak. The people of the state are ready to remove the BJP. In 2027, the people will put an end to the unjust rule of the BJP,” he said.

SP president’s reaction comes after Allahabad High Court strongly reprimanded the UP government over police shooting the criminal in the legs during so-called encounters.
