The history of 500-year-long struggle for Ram temple will culminate on when a religious flag will be hoisted at the Shri Ram Temple being built in the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi campus.
The religious flag will be hoisted on the 161 feet high dome in November next.
Ram Temple sources claimed here on Wednesday that like Pran Pratishtha, the ceremony of putting a flag on the peak will also be historic. Prime Narendra Modi is expected to attend this religious ceremony.
Sources said the ceremony can take place on November 24 or 25 as November 25 is Vivah Panchami, the day on which Lord Ram married Sita.
Like the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, preparations would be undertaken for the flag-hoisting ceremony. Saints and dharmacharya of India and abroad will participate in this program.
Sources said prior to the flag worship ceremony, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust can appeal to all Sanatani temples to hoist the new religious flag atop the temple on November 25 to celebrate this ceremony with full gaiety in their respective temples and also involve the people around them in the ceremony.
According to the Trust, the peak of the temple is 161 feet high and the total height of the temple will increase to 203 feet after the flag is installed. The flag pipe weighs 5.5 tonnes and is made of “Brass” while 60 artisans have prepared in seven months.
