The call of the wild is now closer than ever, as from December 15, travellers will be able to explore the forests, wildlife and raw beauty of Dudhwa National Park through a new set of affordable and well-curated jungle safari tour packages launched by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC).
Designed for families, students, wildlife enthusiasts and first-time explorers, the five one-night, two-day packages make visiting one of North India’s richest wildlife landscapes simpler, safer and more budget-friendly.
The packages range from standard and premium wildlife experiences to specially designed school and group tours, offering visitors multiple ways to discover Dudhwa’s forests, grasslands and wetlands.
Explaining the initiative, state Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said here on Sunday that eco-tourism is entering its most active season and Dudhwa is ready to welcome visitors with structured, responsible and memorable experiences. He said the new packages are aimed at encouraging families and young travellers to experience wildlife up close while strengthening conservation-linked tourism in the state.
All packages begin from Hotel Gomti in Lucknow and include comfortable stays close to the forest, guided jungle safaris, meals and trained support staff, ensuring visitors can focus entirely on the experience of the jungle.
Five ways to experience Dudhwa include:
Dudhwa Budget Package (8 persons minimum)- Ideal for families and small groups, this package offers travel by tempo traveller, one night stay, meals, bonfire and a morning jungle safari. Priced at Rs 6,175 per person plus GST, the tour allows two children up to five years of age to travel free with a couple.
Standard Jungle Safari Package (4 persons minimum)-Designed for smaller groups, this package includes sedan travel, hotel stay, meals and a jeep safari. The price is Rs 6,500 per person plus GST, offering a comfortable wildlife getaway with all essential inclusions.
Premium Wildlife Experience (6 persons minimum)-For travellers seeking a deeper forest experience, the premium package includes Innova travel, a guided forest walk, visit to the interpretation centre, jungle safari, souvenir and all meals. The package is priced at Rs 6,000 per person plus GST.
School and College Group Package
Specially created for students, this package includes travel by tempo traveller, dormitory accommodation, meals, team activities, bonfire and a jungle safari. Two teachers and one staff member accompany the group. The package is priced at Rs 4,751 per student plus GST, with a minimum group size of 20 students.
Dudhwa Budget Package without Transportation (4 persons minimum)
For travellers reaching Dudhwa on their own, this package offers accommodation, meals, bonfire, jungle safari and guide services at Rs 4,950 per person plus GST.
A key feature across all packages is the stay arrangement. Hotels are located around 1.5 kilometres from the forest, allowing visitors to remain close to nature while enjoying safe and comfortable accommodation. Each package includes meals, packaged drinking water, trained guides and a shared jungle safari, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience.
Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Amrit Abhijat, said the new Dudhwa tour packages are designed to make wildlife tourism accessible to a wider audience. He noted that such initiatives not only create memorable travel experiences but also support local livelihoods, rural economies and long-term ecotourism growth around protected forest areas.
With dense sal forests, open grasslands and a rich mix of wildlife, Dudhwa National Park offers a rare chance to experience the Terai ecosystem at close quarters. The launch of these packages marks the beginning of the winter eco-tourism season, inviting travellers to slow down, step into the forest and reconnect with nature.
