Acharyakulam crowned ‘Champion of Champions’ in district-level yoga competition


Under the aegis of the Uttarakhand Yogasana Sports Association, a two-day District-Level Yoga Competition was organized at Swami Hariharanand Public School, Kankhal, Haridwar, from August 10–11, 2024.

Nearly 250 students from across the district showcased their talent and excellence in yogasana.

The students of Acharyakulam delivered an outstanding performance and emerged as the overall champions.

In Artistic Yogasana (Pairs), Sarvil Moreshwar Dongre, Amrit Singh, Taniska Agrawal, Pratishtha Yadav, Advita Gaur, and Yati Yashvi secured Gold medals.

In Rhythmic Yogasana (Pairs), Atharv Singh Negi, Neel Nitin Mukesh, Tanmay Hemraj Yanorkar, Aavishi Avi, Dharavi Tiwari, Gargi Yadav, and Kavya Saini also bagged Gold medals with their best-in-class performance.

In the Artistic Singles category, Neel Nitin Mukesh and Prarambhika Mishra won Gold, while Aavishi Avi secured Silver.

In Arm-Balance Yogasana, Atharv Singh Negi, Aavishi Avi, and Nivedita Bisht earned Gold medals, while Prarambhika Mishra and Yashoda Devi claimed Silver.

In Back-Bend Yogasanas, Atharv Singh Negi won Gold; Yatharth Singh and Prarambhika Mishra took Silver; and Dharavi Tiwari and Pratishtha Yadav received Bronze.

In Forward-Bend Asanas, Yatharth Singh and Pratishtha Yadav won Gold, Daksh Malik secured Silver, and Yashoda Devi took Bronze.

In Spinal-Twist Asanas, Daksh Malik, Alka Sharma, and Ojasvi bagged Gold, while Amrit Singh, Anaya Pandit, and Yati Yashvi earned Silver. Yatharth Singh won Bronze.

In Traditional Yogasana, Tejasvi Kaushik won Gold, while in Waist-Twist Asanas, Sarvil Moreshwar claimed Gold and Gargi Yadav took Silver.

In the Balance-on-Leg Asanas, Atharv Singh Negi, Aavishi Avi, Nivedita, Kavya Saini, Tanmay Hemraj Yanorkar, and Yati Yashvi won Gold, while Prarambhika Mishra and Yashoda Devi secured Silver.

With an overall tally of 31 Gold, 14 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals — making a total of 51 medals — Acharyakulam was declared the “Champion of Champions” in the District-Level Yoga Competition.
