The Punjab Regimental Centre in Ramgarh Cantonment held a ceremonial passing-out parade on Wednesday, marking the induction of 962 Agniveers into the Indian Army. The event took place at the historic Kilahari Ground, where recruits of the sixth Agniveer batch completed their 31-week training and took their final step toward military service.
Colonel Manavendra Siwach, VSM, the officiating Commandant of the Punjab Regimental Centre, reviewed the parade and congratulated the recruits and their families. He acknowledged the commitment shown by the young soldiers and praised the training staff for shaping them into disciplined and capable soldiers ready for frontline responsibilities.
The Punjab Regimental Centre, known for its long legacy of courage and sacrifice, has produced generations of soldiers who have served with distinction. The newly inducted Agniveers underwent intensive physical conditioning, modern weapons handling, technical and computer training, and personality development modules aimed at preparing them for contemporary battlefield demands.
During the ceremony, the Agniveers took an oath to uphold the Constitution, remain loyal to the nation, and maintain the highest traditions of the Indian Army. Parents of the recruits were presented with the traditional Gaurav Padak (pride medal) in recognition of their support and the role they play in motivating the next generation of soldiers.
The parade concluded with loud applause from attending families and officers as the Agniveers marched forward as full members of the Indian Army.
