92 become ‘Sanyasis’ to give strength to Baba Ramdev in his movement

A special ceremony was hosted to initiate 92 persons as successors of Baba Ramdev in Hariwar on Sunday. The Sanyas Diksha Programe witnessed professionally qualified persons becoming “Sanyasis’ (ascetic) to join hands with the Yog Guru in his movement. Among the 92 Sansays included a graduate from MIT Australia and persons holding degrees like B.Tech,MBA, PHD, etc.

These ascetics will be involved in running the Patanjali Yogipeeth. All the institutions and activities of Patanjali related to yoga, ayurveda, herb, naturopathy, scientific research, Vedic education, cow­ culture, agriculture, construction etc. will be handled by these saints as successors of Swami Ramdev.

Fifty-one male and forty-one female received Diksha at the VIP ghat in Haridwar. Baba Ramdev said, “To become Sanyasi is a matter of pride. These 92 will follow the Sanyasi tradition to serve the motherland and god. Their 21 days penance has concluded today. I compliment the parents of these Sanyasis who have decided to dedicate their wards for the service of the nation.”

Those who received initiation on Sunday were shortlisted after working for about one decade in the Patanjali Yogipeeth.  Smith (MIT-Australia), Om Singh (B.Tech), Laxmi Narayan (MBA), Suman (PhdD), Adity (M.Tech) and Vijay Laxmi (MA, Phd) were among the highly qualified to turn Sanyasis. Swami Ramdev has resolved to contribute to make India the spiritual superpower by 2050 and for this purpose, he has announced the preparation of his 1000 successor (Sanyasi) ascetics. In this direction, 92 scholar-wise ascetics received the initiation on Ram Navami.

This is the first time that such a large number of educated persons have decided to take initiation to serve Patanjali Yogpeeth. Patanjali Yogpeeth announces performing charity worth Rs one Lakh Crore, make provision of Indian education to over 10 million children, opening of hundreds of Acharyakulam schools in the country and making Patanjali the world’s largest University with  capacity of at least 1 lakh students.
