The White Knight Corps of the Indian Army has moved over five columns of 60 personnel each for rescue operations to the cloudburst-hit Chositi village in Kishtwar.
Medical detachments of the Army are also on the spot providing treatment to the injured people.
Meanwhile, relief operations were in full swing and the troops were working tirelessly in consonance with J&K Police, SDRF, and other civilian agencies to save lives and assist those in need. Search for missing people was underway with medical aid and support reaching affected families, a defence spokesman said.
