Four friends returning from Baijnath Dham in Deogarh, Jharkhand, were killed in a road accident here on Sunday morning.
The deceased included a Gram Development Officer, a Kanungo, a government teacher, and a Gram Pradhan.
According to police sources, all the victims were residents of Siddharthnagar and had travelled to Deogarh in an SUV to offer Gangajal at Baijnath Dham.
While returning after the ritual, their vehicle lost control and collided with a tractor-trolley on the highway under the jurisdiction of Patherwa police station.
Two others were also injured in the accident.
The deceased have been identified as Kailash Mani (government teacher), Sujit Jaiswal (Gram Development Officer), Ramkaran Gupta (Kanungo), and Manoj Kumar Singh (Pradhan).
