Two speeding motorcycles collided head-on, resulting in the death of four persons, including a father, his two sons, and his relative, while two others were injured in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday evening.
According to the police, the mishap occurred at around 4 pm near the Jarga-Jargi village on the Mandla-Seoni border.
Mandla SP Rajat Saklecha said the accident occurred when a family of five persons, riding on a single motorcycle, from Seoni to Mandla, collided with another bike coming from the opposite direction.
The official said that the deceased were identified as Rajendra Kushram (38), his sons Sohil (10) and Ravindra (7), all residents of Seoni district, and his brother-in-law Shivprasad Maravi (27).
Rajendra’s wife, Shakun Kushram (32), and Vivek Kumar Kakodia (28) of Seoni district, who was on the other bike, sustained injuries and have been admitted to a hospital, the SP added.
Police registered a case, and investigations were on.
