Ayodhya, the city of Shri Ram, is once again preparing to create a world record with the grand celebration of Deepotsav.
This time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set a target of lighting 26.11 lakh lamps during the ninth event at Ram Ki Paidi. For this, a plan has been made to light 28 lakh lamps.
An army of 32,000 volunteers will descend on this Maha Yagya, who will take care of decorating and lighting the lamps. This event, to be held on the evening of October 19, will be even more attractive with a laser light show and green fireworks.
The administration has started extensive preparations for this grand event. Ayodhya’s ADM (City), Yogendra Pandey, has been appointed as the chief nodal officer, while 20 nodal officers have been appointed from various departments, who will keep an eye on every detail of the event. Cleanliness, security, and order are being given priority in the preparations for Deepotsav.
Special designs have been prepared to decorate Ram Ki Paidi with lamps, which will depict the deeds of Lord Ram. Mustard oil and eco-friendly material will be used to light these lamps, so that there is no harm to the environment.
A total of 11 tableaux will be organised from Saket College by the Information Department. These tableaux will bring alive the major events of Ramayana and showcase the cultural heritage of Ayodhya. Modern technology will be used in these tableaux, which will give the audience a unique experience. The tableaux will leave from here and go to Ramkatha Park.
On the evening of October 19, there will be a laser light show and green fireworks display, which will mesmerise tourists and devotees. These fireworks will be environmentally friendly, which will help reduce pollution. A huge crowd of local people, as well as tourists from the country and abroad, is expected in this event of Deepotsav. Ramlilas will be staged. Last year, a world record was set for mass Saryu Aarti in Saryu. An attempt will be made to make a mass world record of Saryu Aarti once again.
District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram said that the administration has made strict arrangements for security. Along with CCTV cameras, drone surveillance, and deployment of police force, medical teams will also be deployed. A special cleaning campaign will be run for cleanliness, so that Ram Ki Paidi and its surrounding areas remain clean and beautiful.
