Three soldiers were injured on Tuesday during the overnight shelling by Pakistani troops at Indian Army positions in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu district.

The injured soldiers have been identified as Sepoy Lichatakia, Naik Younis Khan and Grenadier Anil Chander. They have been admitted to the military hospital at Akhnoor for medical care.

Fear has gripped the villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch districts as Pakistan troops continue to target civilian areas.

Some families have moved to safe places from the villages along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch.

Residents of the forward areas have been waiting for long for the construction of concrete bunkers by the government but the construction work is not moving fast enough.
