207 new buses inducted into Rajasthan Roadways fleet; CM Sharma flags off for maiden run

As many as 207 new buses were inducted into the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) fleet here on Thursday with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma flagging off the new buses at the Ajmer Road bus terminal to proceed to their respective bus depots to embark on their maiden run.

Among the new buses, 100 are for Blue Line 3×2 express service, 79 buses 2×2 non AC and 28 2×2 buses.

Coming as it does on the auspicious day of Rajasthan Divas Mahotsav, Sharma called it a gift of the Rajasthan Roadways.

He also provided to ISI mark helmets to 700 Road Safety vigilantes on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the CM Sharma said that state government was committed to speedy, safe and comfortable travelling in modern and mechanically sound buses.

This induction of new buses will strengthen the the roadways network. The new buses would be deployed on long distance routes and also strengthen inter-city bus services, Sharma said.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Joga Ram Patel and the Lok Sabha Member from Jaipur, Manju Sharma, were also present.
