The Mega Job Fair-2025 organised by the Indian Youth Congress on Saturday in Patna was successful, with a strong turnout from both job seekers and employers.
About 190 companies including Tata Alliance, Flipkart, Zepto, Voltas, Tech Mahindra, Paytm, Aditya Birla, Hitachi, and UrbanClap, participated in the fair, which was participated by over 48,000 youth from across Bihar.
The organisers said that over 20,000 interviews were conducted during the day-long event and more than 7,000 candidates received on-the-spot job offer letters. Additionally, many youths were invited by HR representatives of companies for the next rounds of interviews.
Krishna Allavaru, in-charge of Bihar Congress and Youth Congress, said that the massive turnout at the Mega Job Fair in Patna reflects how the BJP-JDU government has failed to provide jobs to the youth, offering only false promises and empty rhetoric.
He said that these thousands of hardworking young people have hope in Congress, and that the party is working to turn their dreams into reality by helping them find jobs.
“In Bihar, unemployment isn’t just a statistic; it’s a long wait – a fact that is clearly visible in the crowd today. When the double-engine government shut the doors to employment, the Youth Congress opened a door of hope for Bihar’s unemployed youth. The Congress stands with the youth who were ignored by the double-engine government,” he said.
Indian Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib said that the success of the event has inspired them to organise similar events in future as well.
He criticised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP, saying that despite being in power in Bihar for 20 years and for 11 years in the centre, they have done nothing substantial for the unemployed youth of Bihar.
He said: “Over 20,000 youth were interviewed at the job fair today and about 7,000 got employment. These numbers clearly show that the so-called ‘double-engine government’ has failed miserably in Bihar.”
Bihar Pradesh Youth Congress President Gareeb Das said that the massive turnout at the job fair shows clearly that Bihar’s youth do not want sympathy, just opportunity. Despite years of BJP and JDU rule, such a job fair was never organised before.
