Close to the heels of the Narcotics Control Bureau seizing 35-kg of hashish a few days ago, the Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Police on Friday arrested four persons and recovered over 15-kg of heroin, Rs 24 lakh cash from their possession in Jammu city.
The IGP (Jammu), SD Singh Jamwal, said they were arrested during an anti-drugs operation and added that Rs.24,23,500 in cash and 15.3 kg of heroin was seized by a police team.
The matter is being further investigated, he said.

He said that the police on Thursday seized 50 kg of poppy and arrested two persons in Poonch district.
“It was the biggest operation against the drug menace so far this year in the region,” he said.
