In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday transferred 16 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including the police chiefs of 10 districts, along with several key officers posted at the headquarters and in special units.
Officials here said among the notable changes, Hemraj Meena, SSP Azamgarh, and Santosh Kumar Mishra, SP Kushinagar, have been removed from their posts and attached to the DGP Office. SP Security, Lucknow, Jay Prakash Singh, has been appointed as the new SP of Unnao.
SSP Aligarh, Sanjeev Suman, has been shifted to Deoria as SP, replacing Vikrant Veer, who has also been attached to the DGP Office. SP Hardoi, Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, has been appointed as the new SSP of Aligarh, while Ashok Kumar Meena, SP Sonbhadra, will now serve as SP Hardoi.
Abhishek Verma, currently SP Railways in Agra, will take charge as SP Sonbhadra. Deepak Bhuker, SP Unnao, has been posted as SP Pratapgarh, replacing Dr Anil Kumar, who will be the new SSP Azamgarh. Ambedkarnagar SP Keshav Kumar will now head Kushinagar as SP.
Meanwhile, Abhijeet R Shankar, SP Auraiya, will be the new SP of Ambedkarnagar, while Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj Commissionerate, Abhishek Bharti, has been posted as SP Auraiya.
Manish Kumar Shandilya, Commandant of the 4th Battalion PAC in Prayagraj, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj Commissionerate.
Additionally, Anil Kumar Jha, Additional SP Ballia, has been transferred as SP Railways, Agra. Sarvesh Kumar Mishra, Deputy Commandant of the 27th Battalion PAC in Sitapur, will now serve as Commandant of the 4th Battalion PAC, Prayagraj.
