The platform for foreign students was launched at a meeting held at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), with presentations by students from different countries marking the event.
The Chief Minister said that the Centre as well as the state government is concerned about the career of these students and would strive to find out a way to ensure that the careers of the students do not get affected.
All students are asymptomatic and the residential school has been sealed down.
Studying abroad is set to grow in the coming years as international borders reopen with the Covid situation easing, and according to the new forecast, over 18 lakh Indian students are set to opt for foreign colleges and universities by 2024.
Chief Minister has also written multiple letters to the Central government exposing the illegal usage of Krishna river water by neighbouring Telangana and will approach the Supreme Court.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a severe impact on 220 million students as universities in 175 countries closed their premises and countries shut their borders. Although higher education institutions were quick to adopt lectures with online learning, these closures affected learning and examinations.
"Their symptoms show just before or after landing in Canada. That's how many international flights are bringing Covid cases, including those of the Delta variant, into Canada as people have found ways to beat the Canadian ban."
One out of every two, that is, 49 per cent students say that stress, anxiety and loneliness have been the most challenging to cope with during Covid-19 that has impacted their mental health.
