In this World Cup so far, India have remained unbeaten and Indian fans will be hoping that India beats Pakistan like it has in all their World Cup encounters till date.
It is being speculated that Pakistani fans, who are there in large numbers in England to support their team, might follow the trend set by Indian fans by booing Steven Smith when he was batting at the Oval on Sunday.
The forecast also predicts that light showers are expected on the day and fans wouldn't want to see third washout in the third consecutive day of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The match was scheduled to begin at 10:30 am (local time) but was called off in the afternoon. This is the first match at the Cricket World Cup 2019 in England to be washed out.
The only thing comforting for Sri Lanka is the fact that Pakistan too is coming from a similar background in the World Cup - a big defeat and then a victory. However, Pakistan's victory came against World Cup favourites England and their batting did step up when the going was tough.
