Google Doodle celebrates Nowruz 2024
Google's lively Doodle marks Nowruz 2024, honoring the Persian New Year with artistry. Celebrating renewal and unity, the Doodle encapsulates the spirit of this cherished festival.

Google Doodle is honoring International Women’s Day 2018 (March 8) by presenting 12 female artists with stories about the female experience.
The interactive doodles, which can be seen internationally, feature 12 female artists of different backgrounds. It allows the women to share something that impacted their lives in some way for Women’s Day. The stories of women’s day have also been translated into more than 80 languages.

Google is encouraging women across the world to share their own stories with the hashtag “#HerStoryOurStory.”

Artists participating in Google Doodle’s International Women’s Day project include Anna Haifisch, Chihiro Takeuchi, Estelí Meza, Francesca Sanna, Isuri, Karabo Poppy Moletsane, Kaveri Gopalakrishnan, Laerte, Philippa Rice, Saffa Khan, and Tillie Walden.

Google isn’t the only brand to announce initiatives in celebration of International Women’s Day. Popular brand Barbie has announced to release dolls of history-making women. The Barbie dolls include Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.
