No particular day is enough to celebrate our parents’ magnanimity whether it’s Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. But, does that…

No particular day is enough to celebrate our parents’ magnanimity whether it’s Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

But, does that necessarily suggest that we can’t be a little different to them? Well, keeping in mind the endless sacrifice they experience to make each day of ours worth living.

Our parents don’t get to enjoy life or have as much freedom as we, their children do.

They have a burden of worries on them, either about work or home. Duties and responsibilities keep them busy. Birthdays are there to refresh them, although, they are not something which exclusively commemorate parenthood.

So, as the unanimous assertion goes, we celebrate Mother’s Day or Father’s Day to acknowledge their uniqueness. These are days the social networking sites go crazy with millions of posts- emotional ones, funny ones and grateful ones.

It’s true that we seldom take the social networking medium to express our love for parents, but that doesn’t mean I am unaware of my parents’ constant showering of love.

Yes, it’s also true that I’m not so vocal on this aspect that’s why I chose pen and paper as the medium. This Father’s Day, I had decided beforehand to do something singular.

I know my father would become instantly happy if he saw this article dedicated to him. For me, he had always been my Superman.

Admittedly, everybody has flaws, which is perfectly normal.

But, my Dad loves me from the core of his heart. He goes quite berserk sometimes, yet that’s what I love about him, it shows that he truly cares. He is mostly amicable, gives me useful advice, and most importantly, supports me through tough times. This day is for all ‘super-dads’.

For them who put in so much to keep their little ones happy, those who call up every time to confirm that their beloved children have safely reached their tuition or destination, whenever they go out of their house on their own.

They are like Santa Claus, trying wholeheartedly to satisfy all the unjustified demands and whims of their sons and daughters.

Fathers are special and are the superheroes to their children.

And especially to a daughter, her father is the one who spoils her with inimitable munificence.

However, on a slightly funny note, let’s not forget fathers are generally nice as long as they are in a good mood, but once their temper reaches ‘boiling point’ it’s wise to maintain some distance from them!
