Nurturing creativity

ArtsAcre museum of Bengal modern art and International centre for creativity and cultural vision presents its second edition of art fair and festival Art Haat 2017 which is one the rare opportunities to explore the creations of talented artist for four days.

Eminent artists Shuvaprasanna, Himmat Shah and Prabhakar Kolte, flimmaker Gautam Ghose, singer Anupam Roy and eminent artists from Germany were present at the inauguration to make this initiative successful. Majority of stalls in the festival provided platform to the emerging artists while some were reserved for various handicrafts.

Besides the fair there were performances at open air amphitheatre every evening during the fair. A folk band also performed this year. The traditional acrobatics dance form from Purulia namely chhau was also presented. There was a contemporary dance performance by Bittu Mondal and group.

Unique creations such as painting, sculpture, folk art, crafts, organic clothes, designer jewellery and handloom products were exhibited in the innovative fair, mesmerising the visitors. There were also stalls offering delicious food.

“I am extremely hopeful about ArtHaat’s success. Last year it was an interesting spread of experience. This year we have been inspired to increase the number of stalls to 65 as against last year’s 55. We will continue to hold this festival to exhibit the artistic excellence of our city and country,” said Shuvaprasanna.

This innovative initiative that nurtured the creativity of artists in the field of visual arts leaves a mark of encouragement among the mass so that in near future with the help of ArtAcre new creative talents flourish.
