In an interaction with www.thestatesman.com, Rishi talked about his journey in the music world and shared his experiences.

The song Maula has been tracking well. What are the reactions you have received?

It’s a great feeling when you’ve worked on a song that you’re proud of and you hear it playing on the radio or watch it on TV within a few days of its release. The reaction has been phenomenal and I’m very grateful.

How did you and Farhan Saeed decide to come up with Maula?

Farhan and I just got along really well and created something interesting. His voice and my production created a great song. We finished the song in a few hours when we met.

Have you worked with Farhan Saeed previously? How has your experience been?

This is the first time I’ve collaborated with Farhan on a project. I was introduced to him by Mohit Suri and we vibed instantly. The experience has been nothing short of amazing. He is extremely talented and I’m really happy with the outcome.

Is there any artiste on your wish list with whom you would like to collaborate?

I would love to someday collaborate with Gurdas Mann Ji. I’m a great fan of his work. I’m open to working with any artiste as long as the vibe and chemistry in the studio is there, like it was with Farhan for example.

What projects do you have in the pipeline?

I’ve worked on a few tracks for the film, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, and Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Other projects are work in progress and more will be shared on that very soon.
