Actress Viola Davis will headline the new features film based on the 1980s British TV series Widows to be directed by her 12 Years A Slavenbsp;helmer Steve McQueen.

The story begins when three armed robbers are killed during a robbery. Their surviving widows then come together and enlist the help of a fourth woman to finish their late husbands’ failed job. At the same time they discover there was a quot;fourth manquot; in the raid that killed their husbands.
The upcoming big screen adaptation will be scripted by Gone Girlnbsp;author and screenwriter Gillian Flynn. It will be McQueen’s first movie since his 2013 Oscar-winner 12 Years a Slave.
