Nikhil Siddharth’s ‘Kirrak Party’ crosses $100,000 in US

Actor Nikhil Siddharth’s much-awaited film Kirrak Party has grossed more than $100,000 at the box office in US in its premier show on Thursday.

Kirrak Party, which is an official remake of the Kannada film Kirik Party, had its US premiere on March 15 and the film had an impressive opening there.

According to reports in IBT, the film has grossed $103K (Rs 65 lakhs), beating the collection records of 2017 Telugu film Keshava.

South film business tracker Haricharan Pudipeddi tweeted about the business of the film on Friday (March 16).

Kirrak Party was released on more than 140 screens in North America alone and faced no major competition as it was the only Southern film to have its premier there.

As per reports, the film’s business is also expected to boost over the weekend. Meanwhile, to everyone’s surprise the film has already broken the records of Nikhil’s 2017 film Keshava, which collected approx $55,507 in the preview shows.

Nikhil, who essays the lead role in the film, is elevated with the response to his film in US and tweeted: “Thanks for all the Love from the USA Movie Lovers… Breaking the barrier and still counting  please so watch the movie… It will entertain and Touch You for sure… #KirrakParty”

Directed by Sharan Koppisetty, Kirrak Party was released worldwide on March 16.
