Kasautii Zindagii Kay: Shah Rukh Khan introduces Prerna and Anurag

Serioholics have a reason to rejoice as the much-awaited promo of Kasautii Zindagi Kay is out. As promised, the characters of Ekta Kapoor’s serial have been introduced by Shah Rukh Khan.

From the past few days, Ekta Kapoor has been teasing the audiences by giving them sneak peeks from the reboot of the popular show from the noughties and social media was flooded with pictures from the set.

Finally the promo is out, and the audiences are filled with excitement about the show.

Kasautii Zindagi Kay is a love story of two characters, Prerna and Anurag, who face a lot of hurdles throughout their lives. In the 1-minute video, Shah Rukh Khan is seen telling the tale of the two lovers and he compares their love story to railway tracks that run parallel to each other for long distances and yet never become one.

In the promo, Prerna, played by Erica Fernandez, and Anurag, played by Parth Samthaan, are seen standing on opposite platforms looking at each other. Just like the original, a red dupatta symbolising their love is seen fluttering on the screen.

The original show is the third longest-running entertainer on television after Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.

The reboot will be telecast on Star Plus from 25 September.
