Sushant Singh Rajput and Mahendra Singh Dhoni teamed up to launch the trailer of the upcoming biopic of Captain Cool in Delhi.

As the actor-cricketer duo reminisced and cherished their school memories once again at a press meet at DAV, Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Sushant made a few revelations about all that he got to learn about cricket while he shot for the film.

Cricketer: Reel to real

The glamour and fame makes cricketers face the camera for ad films and shoots, and they learn a bit of acting in the process. But, while prepping for the film, did Sushant polish his skills while playing cricket on the field

Answering in the affirmative, Sushant said, “Yes, I can hit sixes even if I face Ranjhi bowlers on the field. Main seriously bol raha hoon.”

Elaborating further, he said, “Since the beginning, I was interested in the sport. One of my sisters was a professional cricketer too! So, while I was preparing for my character since one or two years, I had to undergo such professional training that I learnt the sport in its full vigour and form that I can see that ball moving. I would be confident to face the Ranjhi bowlers for 2-3 balls.”

Spilling the beans on what was the toughest for him to learn on the sets, Sushant shared, “It wasn’t any particular shot, but the most difficult thing was to understand that why he is the way that he is. How he is so calm outside though a million thoughts may be going inside his mind and how he instilled the belief to be strong in front of a player from any part of the world no matter which city was born and brought up in.”

Lessons of life

"I have learnt a lot of little things that have affected me deeply as a human being while shooting for this film,” Sushant said, adding, “Bohot kam insane ka kirdaar nibha kar aap ek ache inseam bante hain… Dhoni waise hi insaan hain…
