The cameras have finally stopped rolling for Ram Charan’s portions in ‘Peddi’. Cinematographer Rathnavelu took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the big update. And, he didn’t hold back his feelings.
Calling it a “memorable journey,” Rathnavelu praised Charan as both a “powerhouse performer” and a “wonderful friend.” He also gave a shoutout to the film’s team, tagging director Buchi Babu Sana, music legend AR Rahman, and the production house Vriddhi Cinemas.

Release date drama: What happened?
Originally, ‘Peddi’ was expected to hit theatres on June 25, 2026. But hold on, plans have changed.
The makers had already hinted at a delay, and now it’s official. The release has been pushed back, with no new date announced yet. The reason? They want more time to perfect the film’s technical work and post-production.
Almost done: Just one song left
Good news though. Most of the film is already complete. According to the team, the “talkie” (dialogue) portions are done, and only one song remains to be shot.
Interestingly, reports say a special song featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan has already been filmed in Hyderabad.
The makers also revealed that they’ve seen the edited version and they’re “extremely happy” with how it has turned out so far.
Wrestler look & star cast buzz
One of the biggest talking points is Ram Charan’s transformation. A recent poster titled ‘Peddi Pehelwan’ shows him as a wrestler and fans can’t stop talking about it.
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.
This comes in direction of Buchi Babu Sana and production of Venkata Satish Kilaru in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers.
