The team behind the upcoming Malayalam thriller ‘I, Nobody’, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, has taken legal steps to protect the film from piracy before it reaches theatres. The makers have obtained a John Doe (Ashok Kumar) order from the Hon’ble Madras High Court to stop the illegal recording and circulation of the film.
The court order has been secured just days before the film’s theatrical release, showing the producers’ strong effort to safeguard the project from piracy and unauthorised distribution.
Court order covers film, songs, trailer and promotional content
According to sources close to the film’s production, the John Doe order blocks any illegal recording, uploading, sharing, streaming or circulation of the film across any platform.
The legal protection is not limited to the full movie. It also covers the film’s trailers, songs and every piece of promotional content connected to ‘I, Nobody’. The order aims to prevent leaked footage or unauthorised copies from spreading online before or after the film’s release.
Makers warn of strict action against piracy
The producers have made it clear that piracy will not be taken lightly. Sources said the team has warned that anyone found recording, sharing or distributing pirated material related to the film could face both civil and criminal action.
The makers have also appealed to audiences to support the film by avoiding pirated content. They have requested members of the public to report any unauthorised uploads or illegal sharing of the film or its promotional material if they come across them online.
The recently released teaser has increased excitement among movie lovers by offering a glimpse into the film’s mysterious world.
Film cleared by censor board
The thriller has already completed the certification process. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the film a U/A certificate, allowing it to move ahead with its theatrical release.
The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on Thursday, making it one of the most awaited Malayalam releases of the year.

Leading the film is Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is joined by Parvathy Thiruvothu and Hakim Shajahan in important roles.
The supporting cast also features several well-known performers. Those include Ashokan, Madhupal, Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi, Vinay Fort.
