Vajpayee’s ‘tallest’ statue unveiled in MP
The statue has been installed at the park created near Lakha Banjara Lake in the city by Sagar Smart City Development Authority. The park has also been named as the Atal Park.
The infamous Kollywood theatre strike has been called off after 48 days and the Tamil films will be releasing from 20th April onwards.
The stakeholders have come to a mutual ground through the tripartite talks conducted by the state government between Tamil Film Producers’ Council, digital service provider and exhibitors.
According to a report in Firstpost, Vishal, president of TFPC, assured everyone that the state government has decided to make computerised ticketing mandatory in all theatres located in Tamil Nadu.

“At the outset, we would like to thank our Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for his complete cooperation. The state government has decided to make computerised ticketing mandatory in all the theatres located in Tamil Nadu. They are going to pass a GO stating that all theaters should implement electronic tickets from 1 June. Also, flexible ticketing will come into place soon. It will make the movie going experience easier for audiences since films will be categorised and priced accordingly,” he said.
Now it’s quite safe to say that the upcoming films will be released in Tamil Nadu, but what happens to all the films that were released during the time of the strike?
One such example is Prabhudeva’s Mercury, which was released last week everywhere but in Tamil Nadu.
Addressing to the situation, Vishal said: “It will vary depending on the film. Producer, distributor, and exhibitor will discuss and arrive at a consensus. For example, if a producer wants his film’s ticket price to be Rs 50 instead of Rs 150, he will discuss with the distributor,

When asked about Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kaala, which was scheduled to release on April 27 in Tamil Nadu, Vishal told Firstpost that the films will be released on a particular order and both big/small films will get a fair number of screens henceforth.
