Jr NTR’s ‘Devara’ sequel officially announced on first film’s one-year anniversary

It’s official! Jr NTR’s blockbuster film ‘Devara’ is returning with a sequel. The announcement came exactly one year after the original movie hit the big screens.

The makers of ‘Devara’, Yuvasudha Arts, shared the big news on social media, writing: “It’s been one year since HAVOC struck the shores, trembling every coast… and the name the world remembers is DEVARA. Be it the FEAR it unleashed or the LOVE it earned, the streets will never forget. Now gear up for ‘Devara 2’.”

Jr NTR is returning as the hero, reprising his dual roles from the first film as Devara and Varadha. Koratala Siva, who directed the original, will be back at the helm. Music maestro Anirudh Ravichander is also ready to compose the score.

While details about the rest of the cast are still under wraps, the first film featured an impressive lineup, including Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Tom Shina Chacko, and Narain.

The original ‘Devara’ released on September 27, 2024. It was a massive success across multiple languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. It showcased Jr NTR in a gripping dual role, with the storyline revolving around intense power struggles along the coast.

Produced by Kosaraju Hari Krishna and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, the film was praised for its engaging plot.
