The Allu family is in mourning as they bid farewell to their beloved matriarch, Allu Kanakaratnam, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 94 due to age-related health issues. Kanakaratnam was not just the wife of the legendary Padma Shri Allu Ramalingaiah but also the grandmother of popular actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan.
Her passing has left the entire family heartbroken.
Allu Arjun took to Instagram to share his feelings and express gratitude to fans and well-wishers. He wrote, “Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode. Her love, wisdom, and presence will be missed every single day. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came forward to share their affection and condolences. To those far away, your prayers and love were felt just as much. Thank you for your love. Humbled.”

The family came together to pay their last respects during the final rites, standing united during a very emotional time. Both Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, along with megastar Chiranjeevi, personally participated.
Other family members were also present to offer their prayers and support, making it a heartfelt farewell.
Chiranjeevi also shared a touching note on X (formerly Twitter) expressing his sorrow. He wrote, “Our mother-in-law… The demise of Kanakarathnamma Garu, wife of Sri Allu Ramalingayya Garu, is extremely heartbreaking. The love, courage, and life values she showed to our families will forever be an inspiration to us. I pray to God that her sacred soul attains peace. Om Shanti.”
Fans and well-wishers from across the country have also shared messages of love and condolences.
