Actress Trisha faced a scare on Friday when a bomb threat was reportedly made to her residence in Teynampet. Thankfully, the alert turned out to be false.

According to reports, the Tamil Nadu police acted immediately after receiving the information and rushed to Trisha’s home. Sniffer dogs and a team of officers conducted a detailed search of the premises. But no explosives were found. Authorities confirmed that the threat was a hoax.

This incident is not isolated. Reports indicate that several prominent figures, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, have also been targeted with similar threats recently. Officials say that while these threats are currently fake, the police are taking them seriously and are working hard to identify the culprits.

Bomb threat cases have been rising in recent weeks. Just a few days ago, a similar alert was reported at actor Vijay’s Neelankarai residence. This prompted an immediate investigation. Last month, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami also received a bomb threat at his Chennai home.

Meanwhile, Trisha remains focused on her film career, with multiple projects lined up for release. She is set to star alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in the highly anticipated socio-fantasy entertainer ‘Vishwambhara’, directed by Vassishta. The film is scheduled for a summer 2026 release. Chiranjeevi has said that the story, reminiscent of classic ‘Chandamama’ tales, will appeal to children and also bring out the childlike wonder in adults.

Trisha is also playing the female lead in Suriya’s upcoming action drama ‘Karuppu’, directed by RJ Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. Suriya plays Saravanan, a lawyer, while the film also features Malayalam actors Indrans, Sshivada, and Swasika, along with Tamil actors Yogi Babu and Natty.
