In a video shared from her hospital bed, Dr. Elizabeth Udayan, the ex-wife of actor Bala, has publicly alleged that if anything happens to her, Bala and his family should be held accountable.
The video, posted on Elizabeth’s Facebook page, shows her weak and visibly distressed, with a medical tube inserted in her nose.
Yet her words were clear and deliberate. “If I die now, that person [Bala] will be fully responsible,” she says in the video.
Elizabeth claims she has been mentally and physically harassed and accuses Bala of cheating, abuse, and defamation.
“I thought women get justice when they file a complaint. But in my case, nothing has happened,” she says.
She also revealed that she had reached out to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, detailing her ordeal in a letter, but claims no substantial action has followed.
“Will I get justice before I die?” she asked.

According to Elizabeth Udayan, Bala and his family have circulated threatening videos and publicly denied their marriage, something that Bala himself had previously acknowledged.
“They called me a money-sucking parasite. They said we weren’t married, but Bala had already said otherwise,” she explains.
Elizabeth says the stress of fighting legal battles has taken a toll on her health and mental well-being. “I’ve paid lawyers, appeared for cases, and fought as much as I could. Now, it feels like filing the case was a mistake. I have had enough.”
She did not disclose the exact reason for her hospitalisation in the video.
Actor Bala, known for his work in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, has had a complicated personal life marked by multiple marriages. In 2010, he married singer Amrutha Suresh of ‘Idea Star Singer’ fame.
The couple had a daughter in 2012 but eventually separated and divorced in 2019 after four years of living apart.
In 2021, Bala married Dr. Elizabeth Udayan. By 2023, he publicly admitted they were living separately. His fourth marriage took place in October 2024, when he wed his cousin, Kokila.
