The first teaser poster of Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming movie Soorma, which is a biopic on hockey legend Sandeep Singh released on Monday (November 27). The first look created stir on social media, and the popular Punjabi actor has now surprised his fans with the first official poster of the film.

Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the role of hockey player Sandeep Singh in Soorma is wheelchair bound in the first poster of the film.

Trade Ananlyst Taran Adarsh shared the first poster of the upcoming film on Twitter and wrote, “Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in #Soorma… Based on hockey legend Sandeep Singh… Directed by Shaad Ali… Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh… 29 June 2018 release… First look poster.”

Lead actor Diljit also shared the poster of the film on his Twitter handle and wrote, “A hockey stick and a bullet…One gave direction to his life while the other changed it forever! #SOORMA – The greatest comeback story ever! 29th June.”

Diljit looked intense in the first teaser poster that was earlier released.

This is the first time when Diljit will be seen in a biopic of a sportsman and fans are waiting in anticipation.

The movie, which is not really a biopic, will narrate several instances of the hockey player’s life.

Being directed by Shaad Ali, the film will also feature Taapsee Pannu and Chitragada Singh. The two actors have undergone rigorous training for their roles in the film.

This is the first time that Diljit is being paired opposite Taapsee. Diljit made his debut on silver screen with the film Udta Punjab opposite Kareena Kapoor.

Soorma will hit theatres on June 29, next year.
