Gram Chikitsalay Season 2 trailer OUT: Amol Parashar had some wins last season but Bhathkandi has more tricks up its sleeve

Prime Video released official trailer for Gram Chikitsalay Season 2. The makers shared the trailer on social media with the message: “Bhatkandi jaane ke liye phirse taiyaar ho jaiye. New Season, June 23.” The second season of the Hindi-language comedy-drama will premiere globally on June 23, 2026, across India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

What the trailer shows

The trailer follows Dr. Prabhat, a young doctor working to revive the neglected Primary Health Centre in rural Bhathkandi, as he battles corruption, medicine shortages, village politics, and bureaucratic obstacles while trying to win the Adarsh PHC Award. Season 2 picks up from the events of the first season. While Dr. Prabhat gradually gains the trust of the villagers, fresh obstacles force him to confront the gap between idealism and reality.

The story so far

Gram Chikitsalay is a Hindi-language comedy-drama directed by Rahul Pandey, created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, and produced by The Viral Fever. The series premiered on Prime Video on May 9, 2025. The five-episode first season follows Dr. Prabhat Sinha, a young doctor who takes charge of a neglected Primary Health Centre in a North Indian village, only to realise he must change himself before he can change anything else.

Returning cast

Amol Parashar returns in the lead role of Dr. Prabhat. Akash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, and Garima Vikrant Singh reprise their roles from season one. Vinay Pathak also returns to the series.

Vinay Pathak, who plays Chetan Kumar, said the new season deepens the relationships and makes the characters’ journeys more layered and engaging. Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, who plays Dr. Gargi, said her character is grounded and ambitious but understands what is and is not possible in the situations she faces.

New addition: Dinesh Lal Yadav

Bhojpuri cinema star Dinesh Lal Yadav, widely known as Nirahua, joins the cast for Season 2 in a significant new role. Yadav plays a character named Babu Saheb. He said he had watched season one when it launched. He admired how the rural setting, daily struggles, and community dynamics were depicted honestly but in a light-hearted manner.

Lead actor Amol Parashar said: “In the latest chapter, my character’s journey in Bhathkandi moves forward in unexpected ways. He has experienced some good wins, but a whole new set of challenges comes his way. What I love about this series is how it highlights some of the very real and concerning issues within rural healthcare, and how these are tackled with humour, warmth, and emotions, making the narrative relatable for audiences across all ages and regions.”
