Pedro Pascal’s much-talked-about film ‘Freaky Tales’ finally has a OTT release date. The movie, directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, will be available to stream in the United States on August 8 on HBO Max, and will air on HBO TV on August 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The film revolves in Oakland in the year 1987. It brings together an unusual and wild mix of characters, including a famous NBA player, a dirty cop, a bold female rap duo, rebellious teenage punks, dangerous neo-Nazis, and a tough debt collector.

Their stories are told like a music mixtape, all connected through chaos, clashes, and intense showdowns.

Along with Pedro Pascal, ‘Freaky Tales’ features a powerful ensemble cast. Audiences can look forward to performances by Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Normani, Dominique Thorne, Jack Champion, Ji-young Yoo, Angus Cloud, and even Tom Hanks in a key role.

The movie first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year and later hit theatres on April 4.

Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal has also been making headlines for his recent appearance in Marvel’s latest film, ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, which released in theatres on July 25.

In this movie, he plays Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, a superhero known for his elastic powers and high intelligence.

Joining Pascal in the ‘Fantastic Four’ cast are Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing.

The film sets the stage for future Marvel stories, and the team is likely to return in an upcoming big Marvel project titled ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.

Pascal, who has earned a strong fan base through projects like ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘The Mandalorian’, has been training hard to play the stretchy and sharp-minded superhero. Media reports say he has taken inspiration from comic books and earlier versions of the character to bring Reed Richards to life in a fresh and exciting way.
