The story gets a magical twist when she discovers a family melody, a piece of music that ties her to her roots.

Inspired by the legendary Kashmiri singer Raj Begum, popularly known as the Melody Queen of Kashmir, the film is both a tribute and a tale of self-discovery. It has a strong supporting cast including Soni Razdan, Zain Khan Durrani, Taaruk Raina, and Lillete Dubey.

Atomic (JioHotStar)

If romance and music are not your thing today, maybe high-octane thrill is. ‘Atomic’ is here to deliver just that.

Set across the rugged landscapes of North Africa, the story follows two civilians who suddenly find themselves caught in the middle of uranium smuggling.

What begins as survival soon turns into a race against time as they are forced to choose: save themselves or stop a nuclear disaster.

The film stars Alfie Allen as Max, Shazad Latif as JJ, and Samira Wiley as Cassie Elliot, supported by Brian Gleeson, Franklin Virgüez, and Charlie Murphy. ‘Atomic’ might be the kind of film you watch on the edge of your seat.

Love Untangled (Netflix)

Need something lighter? ‘Love Untangled’ from South Korea offers a sweet dose of nostalgia, comedy, and first love.

Set in 1998, it follows Park Se-ri, a teenage girl who is about to confess her feelings to her crush. But there is a catch. She has always felt insecure about her curly hair. Just when she is about to “fix” it, a transfer student, Han Yoon-seok, enters her life and everything changes.

Directed by Namkoong Sun, the film stars Gong Myung, Shin Eun-soo, Cha Woo-min, and Kang Mi-na.

Sarkeet (ManoramaMax)

Shifting to Malayalam cinema, ‘Sarkeet’ is a family drama with a deep emotional core. Released earlier in theatres in May, the film now makes its way to digital audiences.

The story revolves around a Malayali couple living in the UAE, trying to raise their son who has been diagnosed with ADHD. Their struggles, their moments of exhaustion, and their constant fight to give their child a better life form the heart of the story.

Finally, if crime sagas excite you, ‘Sambhava Vivaranam Nalarasangham’ brings a dark tale from Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram.

The movie follows four men and a dwarf who rise from the city’s slums to control the milk trade and the supply of flowers to over a hundred temples. What begins as ambition soon spirals into power, crime, and bloodshed, as they turn into feared players in the underworld.

Directed by Krishand and starring Sanju Sivram and Darshana Rajendran, this one is a gritty story about power, loyalty, and the cost of building an empire.

So what are you watching?

This Friday (August 29, 2025) OTT lineup is like a buffet. You pick what you’re hungry for. Want to see tangled love stories? Go for ‘Metro… In Dino’ or ‘Love Untangled’. Want a powerful tale of dreams and music? ‘Songs of Paradise’ is waiting.

For thrill-seekers, ‘Atomic’ has enough adrenaline to last the weekend. And if you’re into raw, human struggles, ‘Sarkeet’ and ‘Sambhava Vivaranam Nalarasangham’ deliver exactly that.
